Part-Time/Full-Time Deaf Hard of Hearing Teacher
Mid-State Special Education is seeking qualified candidates for a DHH opening for a part-time or full-time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, starting the 26-27 school year. Qualifications: • Illinois PEL with endorsement in Hearing Impaired • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintains automotive insurance coverage as required by IL law
Terms of Employment: • Part-Time/Full-Time Position • Start Date – August 2026 Salary: • Daily rate range depends on experience ($230/day-$400/day) for part-time •
Salary for full-time would start at $45,000 and would include benefits such as board paid 9% TRS, $700/month towards single insurance, 15 sick days, 3 personal days, board paid life insurance, mentoring support, paid mileage, and more.
