This training session on De-escalation in Schools is designed to equip educators and school staff with the skills and strategies needed to effectively manage and defuse potentially volatile situations involving students. Participants will learn about the principles of de-escalation, how to maintain calm and control and use communication techniques to prevent situations from intensifying. By the end of the training, attendees will be prepared to implement de-escalation strategies that prioritize the safety and well-being of both students and staff, ensuring a more peaceful and productive school climate. This training will be held on February 5, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the ROE #3 PD Center. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The cost to attend this training is $25/person and a light breakfast will be provided. Each participate will receive 3.0 PD hours.
