Join ROE #3 as we kick off a new school with the New Teacher Academy.  This two day training will be full of energizing and engaging information for the Beginning Teacher! This opportunity will allow new teachers to engage on the topics of "What I Wish I Knew When I Started Teaching!" (the do's and don'ts), Classroom Management, maintaining effective discipline, understand personalities (working with students and others), understanding poverty, special education, RtI, Cool Tech Tips, Differentiation, Managing Stress, ELIS, coaching/mentoring, and much more.

The first years in education are so crucial in a beginning teacher's journey. They are working understand the climate and culture of the building, figuring out student achievement, best instructional practices, and simply surviving. In addition to this academy ROE #3 will work to provide educators with a supportive community through quarterly networking meetings and instructional coaching. That's right each new teacher will receive 3 hours of one on one instructional coaching during the 2024-2025 school year.

The quarterly networking meeting will allow new teachers a time to collaborate again with veteran teachers and administrators to discuss critical and timely topics. These networking meetings will take place on October 1, 2024; December 3, 2024; February 4, 2025; and April 15, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with dinner being provided. During these networking meetings beginning teachers will have a chance to address concerns, ask questions, network with other beginning teachers, gain new ideas and knowledge, and take away resources they can turn around and utilize in the classroom the next day.

The cost to attend this training is $200/participant. This cost also covers the monthly networking meetings and 3 hours of on on one coaching. This training will be held on August 6, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and August 7, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Participants will receive 11 PD hours upon completing the 2 days academy and an additional 2 hours for each networking meeting. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on each day. Lunch and snacks will be provided each day.
